This year was filled with house calls for Karen, a field technician, so she could help her colleagues work remotely. Throughout it all, she chose to stay positive, spreading joy to every co-worker she encountered, even as they kept their distance and couldn’t see smiles behind masks.

Now that she’s protected through vaccination, Karen is so grateful for good conversations with close friends and family in-person once again. She didn’t hesitate to get her shot because a close relative suffered permanent lung damage after a long battle with COVID.

Karen was encouraged that so many companies were able to produce vaccines based on science that had been developed over many years. Seeing millions of people getting a shot around the world has made her even more sure of her decision.
